PhD fellowship ERC project Petrifying Wealth. IH-CCHS-CSIC




Funds have been allocated in the project

Rodríguez) for one three-year predoctoral fellowship contract to begin on 16th April 2018.


The call for applications for this PhD fellowship within the field of History will open on 18 December 2017 and close on 15 January 2018. 

The PhD project should propose research issues relating to: "The petrification of wealth: stone building and social identity in Castile and Leon 11th-13th centuries".


Applicants must hold a MA degree or be about to obtain it by the start date of the contract in a subject relevant to the project (i.e. 

History, Art History, Architecture, Archeology, with focus on the 

medieval period). The position will be based at the  

<http://ih.csic.es/> Instituto de Historia (IH-CCHS-CSIC - Madrid); the PhD will be codirected by the CSIC and a relevant academic institution. Physical presence in Madrid is required.


Annual salary income: 26,474.42€
