The seminar focuses on ways to structure your art- or architectural historical PhD thesis. The participant will examine and discuss published examples en will also present the (provisory) structure of his/her own thesis to each other for further discussion. As such this course is especially useful to PhD candidates who are in their second or third year and/or are looking or working on the final structure for their thesis.

First meeting: November 6th, 14.00-17.00 in Utrecht: Discussion of existing research plans, their structures, different styles and possibilities to arrange the material.
Second meeting: November 20th, 14.00-17.00 in Utrecht: Analysis and comparison of recent and more historical dissertations.
Third and final meeting: December 4th, 14.00-17.00 in Utrecht: Implementation of the acquired knowledge to your own research and dissertation.
